Do These Parts Feel Familiar?
You might notice one part of you wants to move forward while another part holds you back. Maybe you're highly critical of yourself, or you shut down when things feel like too much. These aren't contradictions. They're different parts of you, each trying to help in its own way.
At (Re)Connect in Towson, MD, we use Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to help you get to know these parts with curiosity instead of judgment, so every part of you can feel understood and at ease.

Frequently Asked Questions
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an approach that views the mind as made up of different "parts," each with its own perspective and role. IFS helps you understand and work with these parts, guided by your core Self, so healing can happen from a place of curiosity rather than conflict.
We're an out-of-network provider, and you can use your insurance if your plan includes out-of-network coverage (most PPOs do). We'll provide you with a monthly "superbill" you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement. Many of our clients receive at least 50% back from their insurance companies.
IFS often works experientially, helping you notice and interact with parts of yourself directly rather than just talking about them. Many clients find it reaches feelings that talk therapy alone doesn't quite access.
Not usually. IFS focuses on building a relationship with your parts and your core Self, at a pace that feels safe, rather than requiring you to relive difficult experiences in detail.
IFS can help with anxiety, self-criticism, people-pleasing, trauma, and feeling stuck in old patterns. It's especially helpful if you've noticed conflicting feelings or reactions within yourself.
Yes. We offer IFS virtually throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania, and in person at our Towson, MD office.
