Couples Therapy Intensives

Two days to slow down, step out of the same patterns, and reconnect.

A personalized, experiential therapy experience for couples who want the time and space to understand what's happening beneath the surface of recurring conflict and disconnection.

Some relationships don't need more therapy. They need more time.

Traditional weekly sessions can be incredibly helpful, but sometimes they also ask you to pause just as deeper conversations begin to unfold. An intensive creates the space to slow down, stay with what's happening, and move beyond talking about your relationship to experiencing it in real time.

This experience is designed for couples who feel caught in repetitive patterns, emotionally disconnected, or stuck in conversations that never seem to go anywhere new. Rather than focusing on quick solutions or communication techniques alone, we'll spend focused time understanding what happens beneath those patterns so new ways of relating can emerge.

If you're looking for an experience that invites curiosity, reflection, and meaningful change, an intensive may be a good fit.

Why an Intensive?

You and your partner may be a good fit for a couples therapy intensive if….

  • You keep having the same conversations without feeling understood.

  • You've grown emotionally distant and want to reconnect.

  • You feel like there's more happening beneath the conflict than either of you can explain.

  • You're ready to slow down and become more curious about yourselves and each other.

  • You've tried weekly therapy before but still feel stuck.

  • You want focused time to work deeply rather than spreading the process over months.

Is a Couples Therapy Intensive what we need?

Every couple is different so no two intensives look exactly alike. Before we begin, your therapist will meet individually with each partner to understand your relationship, your hopes, and the patterns that bring you here. From there, your clinician will design an intensive that is responsive to your unique relationship.

Throughout the intensive, your clinician will support you as you move beyond simply talking about your struggles. Through experiential exercises, guided dialogue, reflection, and real-time exploration, we'll slow down enough to notice what's happening between you as it unfolds. Together, you will build awareness of the patterns that keep you stuck and create opportunities to experience one another in new ways.

Our goal isn't to help you "win" arguments or memorize communication skills. It's to help you understand yourselves and each other more deeply so that connection becomes more possible.

FAQs

Why choose an intensive instead of weekly couples therapy?

1

Traditional weekly therapy offers meaningful opportunities for growth, but it also requires stopping and starting each week. An intensive provides uninterrupted time to slow down, explore patterns as they emerge, and stay with the work long enough for deeper insight and change to develop. Many couples find this format helps them move further, faster than they can in weekly sessions alone.

How do I know if an intensive is right for us?

2

Intensives are often a good fit for couples who feel stuck in recurring patterns, emotionally disconnected, or ready to dedicate focused time to their relationship. They're best suited for couples who are willing to be curious, reflective, and actively engaged in the process.

Every intensive begins with a consultation to determine whether this format is the right fit for your relationship.

What does the intensive include?

3

The process includes:

  • A consultation to determine whether an intensive is a good fit.

  • Individual preparation meetings with each partner.

  • A personalized two-day couples intensive.

  • Two follow-up integration sessions to help you continue and maintain the work.

Not at all.

Many couples seek an intensive because they feel disconnected, caught in repetitive patterns, or want to strengthen their relationship before things become more difficult. You don't have to be on the brink of separation to benefit from focused work together.

4

Do we have to be in crisis?

What if we've already tried couples therapy?

5

Many couples who seek an intensive have already participated in couples therapy. An intensive isn't about starting over. Instead, it's about creating the uninterrupted time and space to explore your relationship in a different way. If you've found yourselves understanding your patterns but still feeling stuck, this format may offer a new way to engage in the work.

The investment for the complete couples intensive package is $3,750.

This includes:

  • A consultation to determine whether the intensive is a good fit

  • Individual preparation sessions with each partner

  • A personalized two-day couples intensive

  • Two follow-up integration sessions

Couples intensives are offered as a private-pay service and are not billed to insurance. This allows us to focus entirely on your relationship and create a personalized experience without the limitations of insurance requirements or session length.
