(Re)Connect with Therapy for Interpersonal Struggles

When relationships with other people feel harder than they should

Our relationships can bring out parts of us that we don't always understand.

Maybe you have a hard time trusting people. Maybe you avoid conflict until you can't anymore. Maybe you find yourself taking care of everyone else, struggling to say no, or feeling responsible for how other people feel.

Sometimes you notice the same patterns showing up again and again, even when you really want things to be different.

Therapy can help you understand those patterns and begin to relate to yourself and other people differently.

You may notice that the details change, but the feeling is familiar.

You keep choosing relationships where you feel unappreciated. You become anxious when someone pulls away. You shut down when things get uncomfortable. You give too much and then feel resentful.

Our early relationships, family dynamics, trauma, and other experiences can shape what we expect from other people and how we respond when relationships feel difficult.

Understanding where these patterns came from can help you decide whether they still serve you.

Why do I keep ending up in the same patterns?

When it's hard to have needs and boundaries

Saying no can feel surprisingly difficult.

You might worry about disappointing someone, making them angry, or being seen as selfish. You may be so used to taking care of other people that your own needs barely register.

Sometimes you know what you need but don't feel comfortable asking for it.

Learning to have boundaries isn't about caring less. It's about being able to care about other people without losing yourself in the process.

When you want connection but have a hard time letting people in

Some people want close relationships but have a hard time trusting them.

You may keep people at a distance, become uncomfortable when someone needs you, or find yourself pulling away when a relationship starts to feel more vulnerable.

You may also feel lonely even when you have people in your life.

Therapy can help you understand what makes connection difficult and what it might look like to feel more comfortable being known.
